Modular Bike Room

Role: Detail Design, 3D Modeling, Fabrication Drawings for the structural frame

Work completed while with SGA for eLock Technologies

Design completed in 2025

Production ongoing

The Modular Bike Room is a new secure bicycle parking product developed for eLock Technologies, with its first deployment rolled out for NYMTA at LIRR stations. I led the development of this product from concept through fabrication, directly managing 3D modeling, 2D drawings for fabrication and permitting, prototyping, and materials procurement.

The system is built from galvanized steel HSS framing with stainless steel perforated infill panels, designed around a kit-of-parts approach: standardized panels with consistent hole layouts and standardized brackets streamline on-site assembly and reduce installation time. The modular framework allows the structure to extend in length as needed, so bike parking capacity can scale to fit each site's requirements.

All modeling and drawing production was completed in Rhino, with SolidWorks used to develop the sheet metal components and run preliminary FEA structural analysis to validate part performance before fabrication.
